By-election reminder

A by-election for all three Councillors will take place on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Voting will take place between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm, in the Curling Rink Lounge, which is in the northwest corner of the Empress Bindloss Agridome, 311 2 Street West.

The nominations were closed 12:00 noon July 11, 2022 and we have (7) seven residents who stepped forward to represent the voters as councilors for the Village of Empress.  In alphabetical order, they are:

Special Council Meeting June 23 by Zoom

To all Village of Empress residents and ratepayers;

Please be advised of a Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday 1 June 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Empress Community Hall (314 Centre Street).

This will be a public meeting for all to attend and an opportunity to meet the Official Administrator (Harold Johnsrude), who is acting for the Village Council until a by-election can take place and a new Council sworn in.

There will be a Question and Answer portion at the end of the regular business portion of the meeting.

This meeting will NOT be streamed on Zoom.
