The Village of Empress

is situated on the West side of the Alberta/Saskatchewan border and serves as a center to the surrounding farming and ranching community of 1,500 people. It has been a focal point for many activities in the area. It is also at the geographical center of many large cities in Western Canada: Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Regina.

Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor

The Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor (EATC) is a joint initiative that advances the economy in Eastern Alberta and abroad through collaborative investment, marketing and diversification.  The EATC is comprised of three regions in Eastern Alberta (Canada’s Energy Province), and works in association with the North American Ports to Plains Corridor linking the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Vision: The Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor is a significant participant in the global economy.

Mission: To lead collaborative investment, marketing and diversification efforts for Eastern Alberta.

 

The Return to Rural Project

A Rural development initiative focused on engaging, attracting and retaining youth, serving the communities of the Special Areas and MD of Acadia No.34 region.  Our strategy: Leverage the internet, social media and advances in communication technology to connect, engage and align young people with the abundant opportunities now available in Rural Alberta’s Special Areas.
