The Village of Empress

is nestled between the Red Deer River and the South Saskatchewan River, at the eastern edge of Alberta. There is a wild feel to this quaint village surrounded by expansive farms and ranches, pronghorns, coyotes and so many different species of birds. The recreation opportunities for adventurers and star-gazers are boundless. Come and see for yourself!

Empress Bindloss Agridome

The building has two addresses.

  • 311 2 Street West is used generally for the whole building.
  • 320 3 Street West is used specifically for the Lounge at the north end of the curling rink.

The Empress Bindloss Agridome is managed by the Empress/Bindloss Agricultural Society which meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm.  Check out their Facebook page and our Events page to see upcoming events.

Contained in the building is:

  • Horse riding arena (converted from the skating rink)
  • Two-sheet curling rink
  • Restaurant (Barnesey’s Place), at the south end of the curling rink
  • Lounge at the north end of the curling rink
  • Games room at south end of the building opens Fridays at 7:00
  • ATM at the south end of the skating rink.
