The Village of Empress

is situated on the West side of the Alberta/Saskatchewan border and serves as a center to the surrounding farming and ranching community of 1,500 people. It has been a focal point for many activities in the area. It is also at the geographical center of many large cities in Western Canada: Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Regina.

Empress Community Hall

The building was constructed between 1949-1952, is owned by the Village of Empress, and is currently leased by the Empress & District Fine Arts, Cultural and Leisure Society.

This Society exists to fundraise and renovate the Community Hall. It meets the first Monday of the month at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers, and their current chair is Clint Steinley, 403-565-3001.

The Hall hosts various events like a Farmers Market weekly during the summer, and most recently the All Candidates Forum in preparation for the 2021 Municipal Election.

Payment is required prior to rental, and GST is added unless otherwise specified.

Socials, Banquets, Weddings and Functions where alcohol is served. $200.00 for the first day
$100.00 / day for 2nd, 3rd, etc.
Fundraiser’s for local organizations, Functions for small clubs,
non – profit organizations and meetings
$75.00 / day
Hourly rate no kitchen no bar $20.00 / per hour GST included
Cleaning Fee Deposit $200.00 / per function
Cleaning Fee $25.00 / hour
