This new number will be the number to use for regular, emergency or after hour calls. Public Works Department will rotate on call responsibilities, and we want to be sure we do not infringe on our employees time off. Thank you for using this new number, rather than phoning employees at home. We appreciate your consideration.

Proposed Ethane Pipeline Open House
Posted on October 22, 2014 under: AnnouncementsThere will be an open house in the Empress Hall Friday October 24, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00, to discuss the proposed Ethane Pipeline Project and an Ethane Storage Facility located directly across the South Saskatchewan River from Empress. The proposed project will develop underground caverns for the storage of ethane. As Empress is the closest community to this proposed project, it is important to be informed about the process and possible implications on the surrounding environment. Please take the time to go out and learn more about the project and the implications to our Community.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in the performance of a wide variety of construction, repair, installation and maintenance activities in support of roads, cemetery, airport, parks and water/wastewater systems utilizing a variety of equipment and tools, performing related duties as appropriate. Summer Fun Day Camp

Monday, Wednesday Friday afternoons from 1 – 5
Activities would include:
- age appropriate crafts,
- learning new skills like magic tricks and juggling,
- music and
- production of a short play as a grand finale.
Ages 4 – 5 from 1 – 2pm.
Ages 6 and up from 2 – 4:30.

Empress is turning 100 years old!
Posted on July 17, 2014 under: AnnouncementsWe want to extend a warm welcome to all those who have come to help us celebrate our birthday bash. After all the months of preparation and planning, it is heartwarming to see such a great response from former residents, relatives, old neighbors and friends. The Council wish to pay special homage to the centennial committee and commend them for the wonderful job they have done to pull this off. So when you see one of our volunteers, don’t be afraid to pat them on the back and say thank you for a job well done. We have 3 days of fun planned, with activities for all ages, so no excuses, – go out and have some fun!
