Water supply

Bulk water will not be sold today, Monday, to let the water tower recover – once again residents are asked to use water sparingly and monitor their water use.  Please consider moving away from greens that require a lot of water and plant greens that are thriving in a very low water required environment.  This is applicable all throughout the summer and as temperatures are rising and forecasted to rise in the next few weeks. For Sale

The Village will now accept offers for the following items: Old Water Station Building (only) – as is where is to be removed all at once – offers accepted cao@villageofempress.ca Old Gravel Pit Fuel Tank (only) – as is where is to be removed at once – offers accepted cao@villageofempress.ca Removal is at the cost and liability of the buyer and all payments are for the full amounts agreed upon – bank draft ONLY and once paid the monies is non-refundable and the property must be removed within 7-10 business days from day of payment received. Upon payment the monies are nonrefundable regardless.

Special Areas Fire Restriction

Effective Thursday, June 8th the Special Areas Board is imposing a fire restriction to extend throughout all Special Areas.  The Village of Empress will remain at Fire Advisory level.  For details, see our Fire page.

Weeds

The Village politely requests that all property owners or tenants/occupants take care of the weeds in or on their yards and help prevent the spread of all weeds onto your own or neighboring properties. This is a problem during this time of the year and with additional rainfall it can make the problem even bigger.
