Campfires and Safety of our Grasslands
Stay up-to-date by visiting our Fire Status webpage.
Small, controlled wood fires are allowed only when specifically posted on the fire status sign in the centre of the grounds.  Wood fires must be inside a metal fire ring.  Wind can gust suddenly, so be prepared to extinguish flames quickly.  Smokers are asked to soak butts and place them in the trash.  Gas or propane flames are always permitted.  No flame may be left unattended.

Responsible Pet Ownership
All animals must be on a leash, all the time.  Barking or menacing will not be tolerated.  Scoop all poop immediately.  If you leave the site, you must take your animals with you.

Hazards
This is cactus, rattlesnake, and coyote country so be wise.  Wind can be very strong here so close-up and tie-down if you are going to be away from your gear.  You are responsible for your own safety and your own property while in the campgrounds and surrounding lands and waterways.

Garbage
Bins are located at the end of each row of sites.  Please use them and be sure to replace the lid.

Contact the Village of Empress for more information.
