Well with the dry hot July we had, harvest has begun a bit early this year. Lots of combines, trucks and tractors on the move, so be patient when you come across equipment moving on the highways.

Empress Daze

Our third event of the month. What an amazing group of volunteers!

Who wouldn’t want to be in the curling rink on these hot July days. Come out and cheer our curlers on while relaxing in the cool Arena.

Friday night the historical society is hosting another of their great musical events at the historic train station.

Saturday is a full day with the businessman’s pancake breakfast, parade, kids games and the curling finals

Week 3 Summer Fun Day Camp

The girls have a full week of fun planned including a day at the park playing. Be sure to send their swim suits.

Motorcycle Poker Rally and Car Show, Summer Curling Bonspiel

July is a busy month in Empress. This weekend is our first annual motorcycle poker rally and car show. This is a fundraiser for the Oyen FCSS program and there are all kinds of fun activities planned. The following week is our annual Empress Daze Summer Spiel. With this heat wave, the curling rink sounds like a great place to be.

Come join us in Empress July 1st for our Canada 150 celebration. Grand Opening of the Public Works Shop and Splashpark, Kids games, beer gardens, supper, dance and fireworks, starting at 2 p.m.
