Peter Fidler Shower House – Grand Reopening

We are pleased to announce that repairs to the Peter Fidler Shower House are nearly complete. The facility will officially reopen to the public on May 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

Thank you for your patience during the repair period. We look forward to welcoming everyone back!

Notice: Splash Park Delayed Opening

We’re sorry to disappoint all the water lovers and little adventurers out there!

Due to an ongoing water leak, the splash park’s opening will be delayed this year. We understand how much everyone looks forward to it, and we’re working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as we have a reopening date.

Notice: Peter Fidler Shower House Closure & Water Ban

Please be advised that the Peter Fidler Shower House will be closed until further notice due to necessary repairs.

Additionally, there is an outdoor water ban in effect as a result of a water main leak within the village. We kindly ask all residents to refrain from using outdoor water (e.g., for watering lawns, washing vehicles, etc.) until the issue is resolved.

A special council meeting is being called for the continuation of Bylaw 2025-01.  

The public hearing for Bylaw 2025-01 has been extended and will take place on April 9, 2025, at the Village Office 6 3^rd Ave West in Empress at 6:30 pm. Although the public part of the hearing has been closed, the council will still review the bylaw or consider any amendments during that time.

If you’re planning to attend, it might be good to note that this will be a closed session for public input. Let me know if you need any further information about the bylaw or the process!
