The Village of Empress

is nestled between the Red Deer River and the South Saskatchewan River, at the eastern edge of Alberta. There is a wild feel to this quaint village surrounded by expansive farms and ranches, pronghorns, coyotes and so many different species of birds. The recreation opportunities for adventurers and star-gazers are boundless. Come and see for yourself!

Water Restrictions Notice

The Village has recently discovered and repaired two water leaks in the system. However, we are aware that at least one more leak remains. We ask all residents to please keep an eye out and report any signs of water leakage.

In response to ongoing concerns, we have made the decision to allow limited watering of newly planted gardens and flowers. We kindly ask that you use water sparingly and reduce usage wherever possible.

Looking ahead, we will need your cooperation next month as the Village begins the process of filling the new water tower. During this time, our system will be under additional strain, as it will need to support both the existing and the new tanks. This will require a community-wide effort to conserve water and help manage demand.
