There will be an open house in the Empress Hall Friday October 24, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00, to discuss the proposed Ethane Pipeline Project and an Ethane Storage Facility located directly across the South Saskatchewan River from Empress. The proposed project will develop underground caverns for the storage of ethane. As Empress is the closest community to this proposed project, it is important to be informed about the process and possible implications on the surrounding environment. Please take the time to go out and learn more about the project and the implications to our Community.
Please check out the draft traffic and dog bylaws presented at the last Council meeting. If you have questions or concerns please talk to any of your Council members or drop into the office to discuss with the CAO.

After all the months of preparation and planning, it is heartwarming to see such a great response from former residents, relatives, old neighbors and friends. The Council wish to pay special homage to the centennial committee and commend them for the wonderful job they have done to pull this off. So when you see one of our volunteers, don’t be afraid to pat them on the back and say thank you for a job well done.
